Welcome to Shaw Estates Transport. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services through our website shawestatestransport.com and other platforms operated by us.

By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

1. Services Provided

Shaw Estates Transport provides non-emergency transportation for individuals needing assistance traveling to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, pharmacies, and related services.

2. Eligibility

To use our services:

• You must be at least 18 years old or have consent from a legal guardian.

• You must provide accurate and complete information.

• Transportation is subject to availability and verification of eligibility.

3. Booking and Cancellations

• All rides must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.

• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours  prior to the scheduled pickup time to avoid cancellation fees.

• No-shows may be subject to a full service charge.

4. Payment Terms

• You agree to pay all applicable fees and charges for the transportation services.

• Payments may be made through  private pay, or other approved methods.

• You are responsible for any fees not covered by third-party payers.

5. Behavior and Safety

• Passengers must wear seat belts at all times.

• No smoking, alcohol, or illegal substances are permitted in the vehicle.

• Aggressive, abusive, or unsafe behavior may result in immediate termination of service.

6. Liability Disclaimer

Shaw Estates Transport is not responsible for delays due to traffic, weather, or other unforeseen events. While we take precautions to ensure safety and timeliness, we do not guarantee exact pickup or drop-off times.

7. Medical Disclaimer

We are not a medical service and do not provide emergency or medical care. In the event of a medical emergency, call 911.

8. Privacy Policy

We collect and use personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your information will only be used to provide our services and as required by law.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate service to any individual who violates these terms or behaves in a manner that endangers our staff or other passengers.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles.
